Overview

The adults-only, all-inclusive Galley Bay is located approximately five miles from VC Byrd International Airport on 40 acres of Antigua's western shore. It fronts a 3/4-mile long stretch of beach. It's four miles from the island's capital city of Saint John's. Hotel amenities include the lagoon and bird sanctuary, secluded beach on Galley Bay, tennis court, freshwater freeform swimming pool with cascading waterfalls, and open-air fitness center. Croquet, table tennis, and horseshoe equipment are available to guests, and walking and biking trails surround the lagoon. A full non-motorized watersports facility provides guests with the opportunity to snorkel, sunfish sail, windsurf, and kayak. There is also a library and a game room on the premises, in addition to a lounge bar, beachfront bar, and two restaurants. The all-inclusive rate covers all meals, all beverages (including name-brand liquors, house wine by the glass, Caribbean beers, tropical coolers, and soft drinks), non-motorized watersports, tennis, games, use of the fitness center, entertainment on some evenings, and all taxes and gratuities. For an additional charge, guests can arrange island tours and golf excursions. All rooms have air-conditioning, ceiling fans, custom-designed rattan and bamboo furniture, wooden-louvered windows, terra-cotta tiled floor, hairdryers, safes, coffeemakers, king-sized beds, private bathrooms, bathrobes, and balconies or patios. Dress code: In the restaurants, shoes are worn and bathing suites are covered. After 7:00pm, men wear shirts with collars and short or long sleeves (no T-shirts or tank tops) and slacks (no shorts or jeans) and women wear dresses, skirts, slacks, culottes, or tailored Bermuda-length shorts (no short shorts, cutoffs, or jeans). Children must be 16 years of age or older.
