What was the best idea you had in planning your destination wedding? Deciding to get married away was the best idea we had! I hate having too many options -- that's when things get stressful. I wanted to keep everything as laid back and easy as possible. Planning a destination wedding was much less complicated than a traditional ceremony; our wedding coordinators from the resort were always just an email away. My parents are traditionalists who were a bit apprehensive about having the wedding in St. Lucia. But I knew they were having a blast when my mom kicked off her shoes to dance and my dad went for seconds of the chicken curry!
