Romantic Lake Tahoe Wedding Inspiration Board - Sarah and Ryan
October 3rd, 2011
by Jessica Olama
Oh, Lake Tahoe. What is it about you that has us falling in love every time? Your snowcapped peaks? Serene water? Alluring landscape? Yes, yes and yes. Plus where else can you have your wedding ceremony in Nevada and your reception in California?
Sarah Snodgress and Ryan Eppehimer must have felt the same way, because they traveled all the way from Washington, D.C., to do just that. Their ceremony was held at the beautiful St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church in Incline Village, Nevada, with minimal decor to highlight the wood beams, cathedral ceiling and earthy architectural elements of the church. Afterwards, guests crossed state lines into Tahoe Vista, California — just a 15-minute drive from the ceremony site — for a scenic cocktail hour and reception at the FitzHaven-Tahoe Estate. The back lawn overlooking the iconic lake was decorated in a palette of green, white and silver with pops of magenta accents. King’s tables draped in spring green linens featured centerpieces of white peony, lisianthus, hydrangea and roses in petite vases. The planning duo, Merrily Wed, brought the couple’s vision of a sophisticated-meets-natural affair to life and mapped out design elements, suggested vendors and coordinated schedules — leaving the couple stress-free on the big day.
Details We Love
Bride’s Hairstyle We love this romantic yet modern look Sarah wore — intricately styled without being overdone. The textured curls and floral accents are a perfect nod to the wedding’s natural feel. So gorgeous!

Picture Collage Sarah and Ryan might be self-proclaimed “DIY failures,” but they still managed to incorporate personalized touches. We love this collage: Ryan constructed the display and he and Sarah worked together to select photos of themselves and their wedding guests throughout the years. What a fun project and great way to make your guests feel included in your day!
