What happens when a wedding planner gets engaged to the man of her dreams? In Carrie Rosenow’s case, it meant personally planning the wedding of her dreams. When her boyfriend, Matthew Darling, proposed at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina, she quickly ditched the idea a beach wedding in their home state of Florida and opted for the fairtytale-worthy venue.

This week’s featured wedding is a perfect example of the saying, “A picture is worth a thousand words.” Just look at all these creative details! Bay Area couple Angela Lin and Jeremy Webster envisioned a summer-carnival-themed affair near their vacation home in Lake Tahoe. With the help of planner Stephanie Anderson of One Fine Day Events, they found the perfect lakefront venue — Fairwinds Estate — to showcase their casual, playful personalities while also sharing a vacation with loved ones.

Pennsylvania couple Jennifer Krug and Scott Kesler dreamed of an intimate Caribbean beach wedding, but wanted to make their faraway affair as affordable as possible for their nearest and dearest. With budget in mind, the couple set their sights on an all-inclusive resort — namely Dreams Tulum Resort & Spa, in the peaceful seaside town of Tulum, Mexico.

 Seattle-based couple Kayko Fukuda and Doug Schulze fell in love with the Greek island of Mykonos around the same time they were falling in love with each other — on a three-week Mediterranean trip. While vacationing in Mykonos, Kayko dreamed of marrying Doug at one of the isle’s 250 churches but kept the thought to herself. Once engaged, these travel lovers immediately knew they wanted to have a destination wedding. Kayko wistfully brought up Greece as a possible locale and was happy to find Doug was on board.

After Bostonians Peggy Hwang and Nathaniel Lao got engaged, they knew they wanted one thing before they even started planning: to escape the frigid Boston temperatures! Once they agreed a destination wedding was in their future, it was time to narrow down a locale. Both Peggy and Nate wanted to marry in a place neither of them had been before, so they picked the easily accessible island of Aruba. Internet research led them to the Radisson Aruba Resort, Casino & Spa and its wedding specialist, Lisa Dammerman, who helped them iron out the details.
