Lake Tahoe Beach Wedding Inspiration Board - Angela and Jeremy
August 17th, 2011
by Jessica Olama
This week's featured wedding is a perfect example of the saying, "A picture is worth a thousand words." Just look at all these creative details! Bay Area couple Angela Lin and Jeremy Webster envisioned a summer-carnival-themed affair near their vacation home in Lake Tahoe. With the help of planner Stephanie Anderson of One Fine Day Events, they found the perfect lakefront venue — Fairwinds Estate — to showcase their casual, playful personalities while also sharing a vacation with loved ones.
The ceremony was held on the estate's semiprivate beach with scenic views of the lake. For seating, Cruxe Events custom-made wooden benches with cream cushions and gold ribbon, and to screen the ceremony from the public part of the beach, the company also provided bamboo pipes and drapes. Angela wore a Vera Wang gown and jewelry from Nordstrom and carried a yellow-rose and white-tulip bouquet by Bellissima Floral Creations.
Afterward, guests bellied up to a margarita bar, then headed to the estate's main deck for cocktail hour while the ceremony space was transformed into a beach lounge area complete with a cabana, sofas, a s'mores station, a ping-pong table, and space for horseshoes and bean toss. Another fun twist was the Screen Booth, where well-wishers could leave video messages for the couple in lieu of a guest book and take instant pictures of themselves.
Next, everyone moved to the dining room, where vintage chandeliers draped with ribbons and flowers hung above gold-linen-covered tables and Chiavari chairs. Table decor included assorted flowers, tall lemon- and lime-filled vases, and branches dripping with crystals. Blue Onion Café and Catering served barbecue brisket, macaroni and cheese, Caesar salad and cornbread, and the couple bucked tradition with their choice of dessert: whimsically decorated cupcakes in vanilla, chocolate and red velvet from Cake Tahoe.
The party continued after dinner, and guests were free to explore the outdoor dancing deck, lounge area and margarita lawn while DJ Chapin of We Ain't Saints played music late into the night.
Details We Love
Invitations Your wedding stationery gives your guests a peak at your vision before they get to the actual destination. Angela and Jeremy wanted their invitations to have a fun and whimsical feel, just like their wedding's carnival theme. They recruited Peculiar Pair Press to create these postcard-style invites with eye-catching fonts and a modern design. Cute!
