Earlier this month, the DWH team headed to the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel & Bungalows for our fall edition of Celebrate Romance, A Media & Market Event. Writers, editors, travel agents and event planners gathered to check out what’s new at some of the world’s most wedding-worthy resorts and destinations. Here’s our recap, complete with photos and even a TV news segment!

The big event took place in the hotel’s plush Crystal Ballroom, accented with ivory chiffon draping, as well as orchid floral arrangements by Bob Gail Special Events. Sixteen presenters, from the Mexico Tourism Board to The St. Regis Princeville Resort, showcased their wedding offerings, while myself and fellow editor Tara Bradley hosted an interactive discussion in our DWH Lounge, kitted out with white armchairs and exclusive booklets outlining the latest destination-wedding trends and predictions. Guests also enjoyed passed hors d’oeuvres, signature Bon Voyage cocktails, a six-tier vanilla-bean cake by NancyKay’s Confections, and lively entertainment by a mariachi trio.

2 oz. Bacardi superior rum

1 1/2 tbs sugar

4 oz. club soda

cracked ice

6 sprigs fresh peppermint
