I love to travel, and there are fewer things more fun than going to a place I’ve never been. This weekend it was Barbuda, sister island to the better-known Antigua. Getting there takes a bit of work—I flew American from Miami to Antigua, then WinAir for the 16-minute flight to Barbuda.

After a five-day trip to the BVI, I not only got to check out Tortola (see my blog on Feb. 26) but also Peter Island, Jost Van Dyke and Virgin Gorda. Because the islands are in close proximity to each other, sailing throughout the area is not just easy, but also a fun way to spend a day on the water.
