Inspiration “Right around sunset, a group of ticos (Costa Ricans) was skimboarding in front of the beach club. They were incredible; the guests were enthralled watching their tricks. When they came out of the water, one of the bride’s girlfriends suggested she ask them to pose for a picture. They were very friendly and were teasing her, which is why she’s laughing.”
How to capture a similar moment “I can speak only for Costa Rica, but the locals here are incredibly nice. If you want to include locals in a shot, it never hurts to ask!”
Best part of shooting weddings away “Most of my weddings are on the beach, which is a beautiful place to shoot. Also, I find that the the couples who get married in Costa Rica are definitely relaxed, adventurous people, so they make my job a whole lot of fun.”
